The Dirty Picture is the latest movie on South Indian Actress Silk. The lead role has been played by Vidya Balan. Thus Reshma catches the eyes of big banner producer SilvaGanesh. Soon she is given the name Silk and with this name she continues her dirty picture series. While SilvaGanesh and then superstar Suryakanth (Naseeruddin Shah) go on with this dirty business of making dirty pictures with Silk, fragment of the society like an art film maker named Abraham (Emraan Hashmi), an eminent Journalist, Laila along with hysterical women group hate and protest against this policy of  cheap sensational creativity. In next to no time, she realizes that Suryakanth is only using her.

Being revengeful Silk gets into an affair with Suryakanth’s younger brother, Ramakanth (Tushar Kapoor). Laila takes this chance and Silk’s intimate relationship with both of the brothers gets spread in the air. To manage this situation Suryakant suggests all the prominent production houses to reject her. A bit by bit, she starts losing her fame and money. Even Ramakanth breaks up with her for her misconducts with Shakeela in a party. She falls addicted to alcohol and smoking and likewise the end of Silk steps forward. Even the true affection of Abraham fails to prevent her suiciding at the climax part of this movie. The whole narrative background is given by Abraham.
