Music is a soul of any movie as it is the first thing about the film which attracts the response of the audience. Year 2011 has been a good year for music industry as well. There were too many songs last year that rocked the music chartbusters and made people mad over the music. The previous year has witnessed Hindi Movies of all genre. The movies like ‘Faltu and Pyaar ka Punchnama’ are made for the youth audience whereas Ra-one was Sci-fiction. ‘No One Killed Jessica’ was based on true incident and then a horror filck- Haunted. Some full paisa movies like- Bodygurad, Singham, and The Dirty Picture.
These movies not just did well at the box office but their music was also liked by the people of all classes. There were some movies in the list as well who did not perform well at the ticket window but their songs created too much buzzed in the air for example- Shahid- Sonam Starrer ‘Mausam’, and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Thank You’. Songs such as ‘Jalebi bai’, ‘Chamak Challo’, ‘Dhunki’ and ‘title track of Bodyguard’ became the favorite DJ’s track last year.
This year, music industry is also hoping and expecting to get the good response from the music lovers as there will be numbers of big releases lined up at the door. The year has already begun with the superb item song of Agneepath movie features- Katrina Kaif which became so popular on air. The lyrics of this song “Cheekni Chameli” is becoming the caller tune of the people’s mobile phone. Hope the music industry will see superb business this year as well.
